A monologue directed by Sara Sommerfeld portraying one of Sweden's great poets at the end of his life — a joker, a clown, a poet, a humanist, a brooder. A play about human greatness and fragility. Premiered at the Fröding Days at Alsters Herrgård and toured nationally.
Sara writes and directs a new Pelle Svanslös production at Furuvik — an energetic family adventure with humour, music and an important environmental message. For the very first time Sara is behind both script and direction.
My Grandmother and the Holocaust
Sara Sommerfeld's grandmother survived the Holocaust, enduring years of ghetto, labour camps, the Auschwitz concentration camp and the so-called death march. The film follows Sara to the places where her grandmother lived during World War II. She finds new relatives, meets survivors and interviews history experts — a personal and emotional account of Holocaust history with unique footage filmed by American soldiers at the end of the war.
